Music
Music is a powerful, unique form of communication that can change the way we think, feel and act. It brings together intellect and feeling and enables personal expression, refection, social and emotional development. Here at Bengeworth CE Academy, we provide opportunities for all children to create, play, perform and enjoy music, and develop the skills to critically appreciate a wide range of music forms through Charanga. This includes taking our Music lessons outdoors into the school grounds or local area which provides a fantastic way to deliver Music in a meaningful, engaging and purposeful way. We believe strongly in the power music can have on our pupils so provide them ample opportunities to partake in peripatetic lessons such as drumming, vocal, piano, guitar, clarinet, trumpet, flute and violin from Year 2 onwards. In addition to these all pupils from Year 3 onwards have the opportunity to learn the Ukuele as part of their music lessons and Year 5 pupils enjoy mastering the skill of Turntablism.
